Hidden Treasures is a collection of historical and genealogical documents from PLAN member libraries.  Prior to digitization these materials were only available for on-site use or were inaccessible because of their poor, fragile condition. Digitizing (i.e., scanning) these materials preserves the information, and allows the public to discover and have access to this information via the Internet. This collaborative effort is made possible through funding under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and the Library Cooperative Grant program, both of which are administered by the Florida Department of State, State Library and Archives of Florida.
